If your BMW has a touchscreen, you can control CarPlay directly on the screen, or you can navigate through CarPlay using your iDrive controller as usual.

Software Version Check

To verify your software version:

1. Go to Navigation
2. Press the Options button
3. Select Settings
4. Go to Position and Version History
5. Check your version.

WiFi Antenna Requirements

Most BMWs are equipped with a WiFi antenna, but a few may need an additional one to enable CarPlay. This is the buyer’s responsibility, and an antenna can be added later, as it’s simply plug-and-play.

Important: No returns or refunds, as files and codes are tied to your car’s VIN. Please allow up to 24 hours for file/code creation, though it’s often quicker.

Full-Screen CarPlay

CarPlay looks even better in full-screen mode, maximizing your BMW’s wide display. This feature is available if your iDrive firmware starts with letters N, O, P, Q, R, S, U, V, W, X, or Y. Note that enabling full-screen CarPlay disables split-screen functionality during use.

Remote Activation Service

If the USB solution doesn’t work for you, we offer remote activation of CarPlay, accessible globally. You’ll need:

• Windows Laptop – Must be recent
• ENET/OBD Cable – Available for purchase if needed
• Stable WiFi/Internet Connection – Ensures a reliable connection to your car and laptop
• Remote Connection Software – We provide download links and assist with setup
