Component Protection Activation and Remote Update for Volkswagen

Component protection is typically activated following the replacement of a malfunctioning module, an upgrade, or a retrofit. It is a security lock applied by the Volkswagen Group to link each module to a specific car, preventing stolen parts from being installed in other vehicles.

Remote Activation

We offer remote activation for these features. Here’s what you’ll need:

• SD Card: 16 GB or larger
• Windows Laptop/PC (personal laptop, not work-issued)
• TeamViewer: For remote access

We will update your MMI system to the latest software version. Then, we connect remotely to your laptop to configure the necessary files, copying them onto your SD card. We guide you through the simple process of updating your car’s system, after which component protection will be fully deactivated.
